Impression: I’ve had this beer a few times and on this particular occasion, it was after the Kellerbier at Hummel, which I quite like. They are similar brews but the Wagner offering is perhaps a bit more balanced if lacking in the dry fruity element I love about this type of beer. It’s not as hoppy as the Hummel Kellerbier and the finish isn’t as clean. That said, it’s an easy drinking beer. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine there would be two such fine breweries in one small village, both with a fairly large assortment. I guess the inhabitants of Merkendorf are pretty lucky.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
