Impression: I must have just missed having this on tap despite it being a seasonal from December and my visit falling in late February. A friend had just sampled it a week prior so was hoping to do the same. It is only bottled on the premises in large liter growler-type bottles but the owner gladly opened one and gave me a small sized portion in an appropriately small Weizen glass. I’d just had their regular Weizen and though it was good, I found it slightly sweet and was a bit worried this might be since it clocked in at 6.9%. It was actually a lighter tasting beer, with an airy fruitiness. It was also surprisingly dry for the style and I could imagine drinking a few of these if I ever make it back when it’s on tap.
Next beer or back to the beer list.
