Impression: Must admit that one of my main reasons for returning to the brewery in winter was to try this winter seasonal Dunkles. It was the only full pour beer I had this day and it matched up well with my Biergulasch. It came out looking a gorgeous dark mahogany. The head was creamy, almost resembling a stout. Though full-bodied, it was very soft and easy to drink. It wasn’t as dry as I would have liked and I’d have liked to taste a bit more hops in the mix too. That said, it was a great sessionable dark brew and I’d be happy to drink it again if I’m lucky enough to get back during its limited run some future winter.
