Reblitz Dunkles Landbier
Brewery: Brauerei Reblitz
Town: Nedensdorf
Style: Dunkles Landbier
Color: chestnut
Head: creamy, thinning
Nose: slight malt
Body: medium, medium carbonation
Palate: malty, dry
Finish: long, dry, bittersweet
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: I liked that Brauerei Reblitz had different glasses for each beer, all with nice logos but the Landbier was served in one of my least favorite types, a tall thin mug which generally leads to fizzy pours. This was not the case with the Landbier but the head had thinned quite a bit by the time I received the beer, understandable with how busy it was. Despite its aesthetic lack of a appeal, the beer was nonetheless tasty with the kind of dry palate you expect in Franconia. It went very well with the goose too. While less characterful than the two seasonals, it was the kind of beer you could easily drink for a long session.
