Impression: This was another seasonal beer and while not what I’d expect in winter, it sounded very interesting and since the Hellerbock was so nicely hopped, I had newly elevated expectations for this wet-hopped brew. It came out looking a lovely pale golden with a gorgeous ample rocky head. The floral nose was pleasant and while typical in American craft beer, it’s not something you often come across in Franconia, where beer is much lower priced and aroma hops not a luxury typically used. It was a great session beer but sadly, this was not a day for a session. I hold out hopes it’s there in summer as this well-rounded but hoppy beer would be a perfect one after hiking in the pretty area.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
