Impression: I’ve always loved Roppelt Kellerbier and at their scenic Keller, there’s no reason to drink anything else. This was my first time at the actual brewery and I was happy to find both their Bock and Festbier on tap. I went for the Bock first but this Festbier held up very well after that stellar brew. It was a bit lighter and lacked the complexity of dried fruit of the Bock but it was a very nicely balanced if strong session beer. It wasn’t overly hoppy but what was in the mix more than kept this otherwise malty brew from being cloying. If more fests were like this, I’d be more inclined to seek them out more often.
