Impression: This is an area I’d become familiar with after my first Sandkerwa in Bamberg. There is a cluster of easily reached by bus breweries and so far, all of them have been quite good. Mühlenbräu was a very nice surprise and this Dunkles sure hit the spot. It wasn’t the beer most locals were drinking so it took a while to pour the first one. The head was massive and overflow make the mug look super enticing. It had a nice roasty aroma and the dry malty palate was super thirst quenching and moreish. It’s a great beer with food too.
