Fiedlschneider Zoigl
Brewery: Zoiglstube Fiedlschneider
Town: Windischeschenbach
Style: Zoigl
Color: amber, honeycomb
Head: sudsy, thinning
Nose: yeasty
Body: soft, low carbonation
Palate: sourish, fruity, some yeast, somewhat spicy
Finish: clean, semi-bitter
Served: from the tank at the brewery
Impression: This was tail end Zoigl. We’d had lunch and a couple of Zoigl at Beim Binner up the road and stopped in here for a quick one. The Binner Zoigl was a real hoppy treat and this one looked a little thin in comparison. It wasn’t nearly has hoppy but had an interesting sourish fruity quality that might have been better received if it had been drunk first.
