Stettfeld

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: I’d had this beer in a bottle and must admit I was disappointed but mostly because their Lagerbier is so good. I was at the out of the way brewpub and figured I may as well try it, you never know if and when you’ll return. It came out looking very much like a true Pils but it was much maltier than is typical for the style. If taken as a Helles, it’s quite a good one with a nice malt grain element and a refreshing sourishness before the clean, bitter finish. I’d not hesitate to get it again, if I’d hiked in and it was a warm afternoon but otherwise, I’d always have the Lagerbier.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
