Impression: Keesmann is most noted for their Herrn Pils and all of the other beers I’ve had from the brewery have been clear so was surprised to find this Festbier unfiltered. It was also surprising to find this style in spring but it looked to be a one-off brewed for the 500th anniversary of the Reinheitsgebot. At any rate, it was nice to see a new beer so was more than happy to try it. I smartly got it first as I know their Pils is very dry and quite bitter and expected this Fest to be on the maltier side. I was right in my assumption but it was nonetheless quite dry for 5.7% and a very easy drinking beer for it. I’d certainly drink it again if I saw it but my guess is I won’t have to make the choice.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
