Greifenklau Bock

Impression: Greifenklau may not be right in the center of Bamberg, but it’s well worth the walk up the hill. In summer, they have a very nice little Biergarten out back but in winter, it’s a very cozy traditional pub perfect for drinking a bock. This one had some tough competition the day we were out sampling the many Bamberg has to offer in December and held up very well. It wasn’t as pretty as some but the taste, while not quite as dry, was an interesting mix of light dried fruit and hops.
